SACRAMENTO -- Thursday's Western Athletic Conference baseball series opener between host Sacramento State and Seattle U scheduled for 6 p.m. at John Smith Field has been postponed due to rain.

The two teams will now meet in a doubleheader on Friday (April 15) with first pitch for the opening game scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday's (April 16) series finale is scheduled for a Noon start.

It is the second time that Mother Nature has washed the Hornets out this season as Sacramento State had a scheduled contest at the University of Washington canceled due to rain back on March 21 following a three-game series against Seattle U in Bellevue, Wash.
