TRACK & FIELD COMPLETES 2025 SIGNING CLASS

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento State track and field teams announced the addition of 29 student-athletes as part of its 2025 signing class. The group is made up of 15 men and 14 women and covers nearly every event. Among the signees are an NCAA Div. I All-American and several state champions.
 
"This class provides depth, talent and national-level recognition," Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Kenny McDaniel said. "The staff did an amazing job of bringing in the student-athletes who would represent our university and program at the highest level". 
 

Sprints

Women
S'Niyah Cade (Chandler, Ariz./Chandler HS)
  • Graduated from Chandler HS in 2025.
  • Named the Arizona Girls 2025 Track Athlete of the Year.
  • Won the Arizona state title in the 100, 200 and 4x100 and placed seventh in the long jump as a senior.
  • Set PRs in the 100 (11.70) and 200 (23.79) at the state meet.
  • Anchored the 4x100 relay which won the city and state titles.
  • Best long jump was 19-04.50 as a freshman and was matched during her senior season.
  • Was also the Chander City champion in the 200 and long jump.
  • Placed sixth in the 200 and eighth in the 200 at the state championships as a junior.
  • Finished sixth in the 200 and anchored the state championship 4x100 team as a sophomore.
  • Began her high school career by winning the 100, placing third in the long jump and fourth in the 200 at the AIA Div. I Championships.
 
Victoria Chatter (Clovis, Calif./Buchanan HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Buchanan HS in Clovis, Calif.
  • Placed seventh in the 200 and 10th in the 100 at the California State Championships.
  • Was the Central Section Div. I and the Tri-River Athletic Conference champion in the 100.
  • Won the 200 title at the Central Section Masters Meet.
  • Top wind-legal times during the year were 11.76 in the 100 and 23.91 in the 200.
  • Ran the opening leg of the 4x100 relay team which placed third at the Central Section Masters and 10th at the state championships.
  • As a junior, she finished second in both events at the section masters and advanced to the state meet in the 100.
  • Began her high school career at Miramonte HS in Orinda, Calif.
  • Advanced to the state meet as a freshman in the 200.
 
Jaylin Hunter (Long Beach, Calif./Long Beach Poly HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Long Beach Poly HS.
  • Was the Moore League champion in the 400 and finished second in the 200 as a senior.
  • Finished eighth at the Southern Section finals in the event.
  • Top wind-legal times were 23.96 in the 200 and 55.16 in the 400.
  • Advanced to the CIF State Championships as part of the 4x100 relay team which finished in second place as a junior and eighth place as a sophomore
  • As a freshman, she was on the 4x400 relay team which was fifth at the state meet.
 
Men
Gianni Miles (Fairfield, Calif./Rodriguez HS/Jessup)
  • Competed at Jessup for two years.
  • Finished second at the NCCAA Track & Field Championships in the 100 and 200 in 2025.
  • Recorded career bests in both events at the national championships with times of 10.36 in the 100 and 21.14 in the 200.
  • Was also the PacWest champion in the 100 and finished second in the 200.
  • A 2023 graduate of Rodriguez HS in Fairfield, Calif.
  • Won the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. III title in the 100 as a senior, was second at the SJS Masters and advanced to the state championships.
  • Claimed the Monticello Empire League title in both the 100 and 200 as a senior.
  • Anchored the 4x100 relay team which won the M.E.L. and the SJS Div. III crowns.
  • Was the league champion in the 100 and finished second in the 200 as a junior.
 
Cayden Roberson (Eastvale, Calif./Roosevelt HS/Colorado)
  • Redshirted at Colorado during the 2025 season.
  • Competed in one indoor meet in the 400 and 60-hurdles.
  • A 2024 graduate of Eleanor Roosevelt HS in Eastvale, Calif.
  • Was the Big 8 League champion in the 300-hurdles and finished second in the 110-hurdles.
  • Fastest times were 14.61 in the 110H and 37.06 in the 300H.
  • Placed second in the 300H at the Southern Section Div. I prelims and eighth at the section finals.
  • Won the league title as a junior, finished first at the Southern Section Masters Meet and was third at the California state meet.
 
Jayden Thompson (Sparks, Nev./Reed HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Reed HS in Sparks, Nev.
  • Won the Nevada 5A state title in the 100 and 200 as a junior and senior.
  • Had the top time in 12 of his 14 100m races and 11 of 12 200m races during his final year.
  • Fastest wind-legal times were 10.47 in the 100 and 21.08 in the 200.
  • Was part of the 4x400 relay team which was third and the 4x100 team which finished fifth at the state meet in 2025.
 
Jonas Petty (San Jose, Calif./Piedmont Hills HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Piedmont Hills HS in San Jose, Calif.
  • Won the Central Coast Section title and placed eighth at the state meet in the 100.
  • Ran 10.51 at the state championships to set his PR.
  • Placed 10th in the event at the 2025 Nike Outdoor Nationals.
  • Also won the section title and was fifth in the 200 at the state championships.
  • Top time was 21.02 in the prelims at the CIF State Championships.
  • Was the Bay Valley Athletic League champion in the 100 and 200 as a senior.
 
Myles McFarland (Elk Grove, Calif./Cosumnes Oaks HS/San Jose State)
  • Attended San Jose State during the 2024-25 academic year.
  • Finished fifth at the Mountain West Outdoor Championships in the 110-hurdles.
  • Ran 13.93 at the Stanford Invitational for his best time.
  • Also competed in the 400-hurdles in three meets with a best of 55.52.
  • Indoors, he had a best of 8.07 in the 60-hurdles at the Mountain West Championships.
  • Was a member of the 4x400 relay which placed third at the meet.
  • A 2024 graduate of Cosumnes Oaks HS in Elk Grove, Calif.
  • Won the CIF State Championship in the 110-hurdles after running 13.69 in the finals.
  • Finished in 16th place at the New Balance Nationals.
  • Had the top time in 14 of 19 110H races during the season.
  • Was the Delta League and Sac-Joaquin Section champion.
  • Also claimed first place at those meets in the 300-hurdles.
  • As a junior, he was third at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters and qualified for the state championships.
  • Advanced to the state meet in the 110H as a sophomore.
 
Ernest Campbell (Refugio, Texas/Refugio HS/Texas A&M)
  • Competed at Texas A&M during the 2025 season.
  • Earned NCAA honorable mention All-America honors after finishing 22nd in the 100 at the outdoor championships.
  • Advanced to the meet after placing 12th at the NCAA West First Round.
  • Set his PR with a time of 10.02 (wind: 2.2)  in the opening round.
  • Finished in first place at the UTSA Invitational and Oregon Team Invitational.
  • Also ran on the 4x100 relay team at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
  • Fastest 60 time during the indoor season was 6.73.
  • Graduated from Refugio HS in 2024.
  • Was the Texas UIL 2A state champion in the 100 as a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior.
  • Anchored the 4x100 relay team which won the state title his final three years.
  • Finished in first place in the 200 and long jump and was second in the 100 at the UIL 2A Region IV meet as a senior.
 
Tim Edwards, Jr. (Pittsburg, Calif./Pittsburg HS)
  • Graduated from Pittsburg HS in 2025.
  • Primarily competed in the 200 and 400 for the Pirates.
  • Placed third in the 200 and sixth in the 400 at the North Coast Section Meet of Champions as a senior.
  • Won the Bay Valley Athletic League and NCS Tri-Valley Area championships that same year.
  • Top times were 21.51 in the 200 and 47.47 in the 400 at the Tri-Valley Area Championships.
  • Recorded his first sub-48 second 400 at the Sac State High School Classic at Hornet Stadium.
  • Anchored the 4x100 relay team which won the California state championship during his junior season.
 
 

Distance

Women
Jasayla Mariscal (Hollister, Calif./Hollister HS)
  • Graduated from Hollister HS in 2025.
  • Won the PCAL Masters Meet title in the 800 as a senior.
  • Ran 2:16.78 as a sophomore at the Central Coast Section meet to set her PR.
 
Kiera Quigley (Clovis, Calif./Clovis North HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Clovis North HS.
  • Ran races ranging from 400-3200 meters during her career.
  • Placed seventh at the Central Section Masters meet in the 1600.
  • Top time was 4:57.98 at the Mt. SAC Relays.
  • Best 3200 was 11:15.56 at Redondo Nike Track Festival.
  • Ran the final leg of the 4x800 relay team which finished in fifth place at the 2024 CIF State Championships.
  • Placed 49th at the CIF State Cross Country Championships with a 5K PR of 18:32.0 as a senior.
  • Qualified for the state meet as a junior and had a season best of 19:12.4.
 
Myklin Cooper (Folsom, Calif./Folsom HS)
  • Graduated from Folsom HS in 2025.
  • Set her PR in the 1600 in 5:12.57 at the Sierra Foothill League championship as a senior.
  • Fastest 3200 of her career was 11:16.02 at the Sacramento Meet of Champions that same season.
  • Also ran cross country for the Bulldogs.
 
Men
Noah Mikusevich (Fresno, Calif./Bullard HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Bullard HS in Fresno, Calif.
  • Won the County/Metro Athletic Conference title in the 800.
  • Finished third at the Central Section Masters meet and competed at the CIF State Championships.
  • Ran 1:52.23 in the 800 at the CIF State Championships to set his PR.
 
Thomas Rasner (Visalia, Calif./Redwood HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Redwood HS in Visalia, Calif.
  • Finished in fourth place in the 800 at the Central Section Masters.
  • Ran a personal best 1:53.96 at the Central Section Div. I Championship.
  • Was the East Yosemite League champion in the 1600 as a senior.
  • Also part of the 4x400 relay team which won the EYL title in 2025.
  • Qualified for the CIF State Cross Country Championships as a senior.
  • Fastest 5K cross country time was 15:53.6 at the East Yosemite League Championships.
 
Evan Alexander (Fremont, Calif./Washington HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Washington HS in Fremont, Calif.
  • Placed second at the North Coast Section Bayshore Area Championships and was third at the Monte Vista Athletic League Championships in the 1600 as a senior.
  • Set his PR after running 4:20.00 at the Dublin Distance Fiesta.
  • Also ran cross country where he had a 5K best of 15:30.8 at the MVAL Championships.
 

Jumps

Women
Savannah Berry (Elk Grove, Calif./Franklin HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Franklin HS in Elk Grove, Calif.
  • Placed seventh at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meet in the long jump as a senior.
  • Was fourth at the Delta League Finals and the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I Finals that same season.
  • Won the Delta League title in the triple jump and placed third in the 400 in 2025.
  • As a junior, she was fifth at the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I Finals in the 400.
  • Best long jump was 17-09.00 at the 2024 Delta League Finals.
  • Fastest 400 was 58.28 at the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. I Finals.
 
Indiana Davis (Clovis, Calif./Clovis East HS)
  • Graduated from Clovis East HS in 2025.
  • Placed ninth at the CIF State Championships in the high jump as a senior.
  • Was the Tri-River Athletic League and Central Section champion that same season.
  • Advanced to the CIF State Championships in the triple jump in 2025 after finishing third at the Central Section Masters.
  • As a junior, she was ninth in the state and placed second in the Central Section in the high jump.
  • Was the TRAC and Central Section winner as a sophomore.
  • Career bests were 5-07.00 in the high jump. 38-07.50 in the triple jump and 15.12 in the 100-hurdles.
 
Amarie Riley (Las Vegas, Nev./Durango HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Durango HS in Las Vegas, Nev.
  • Placed third at the Nevada 4A State Championships in the triple jump and 300-hurdles as a senior.
  • Was part of the 4x100 relay team which finished sixth at the state meet.
  • Won the 4A/5A Southern Regional championship in the 300H and was third in the triple jump in 2025.
  • Claimed the state 4A title in the triple jump and was third in the 300H as a junior.
  • Set her PR with a triple jump of 37-08.75 to win the event.
  • As a sophomore she was the state 3A champion in the triple jump and was third in the 300H.
  • Finished in second place at the state 3A meet in the TJ as a freshman.
  • Fastest career 300H time was 45.85 as a junior.
 
Merle Weber (Bornheim, Germany)
  • Will compete in the pentathlon and heptathlon.
  • Owns a 2025 season best of 4,716 points in the heptathlon.
  • Set her PR during the 2025 season with a long jump of 18-05.75.
  • Also high jumped 5-07.75 to set her career best during the spring.
  • Set her career high in the heptathlon with 4,775 points in the summer of 2024.
  • Placed 16th in the heptathlon at the German U18 Combined Event Championships in 2024.
  • Was the 2022 German U16 national champion in the high jump. 
 
Charlotte Zeigermann (Landsburg, Germany)
  • Set her PR in 2025 with a long jump of 20-00.50.
  • Recorded a career best of 7.78 in the 60 during the indoor season.
  • Placed ninth in the long jump at the German U20 Championships in 2024.
  • Team placed third in the 4x100m at the German U20 Championships in 2024.
  • Jumped 5.70m or better in four of her five meets that season.
  • Placed fourth in the long jump at the German U18 Championships in 2023
 
Jaylynn Wilson (Centennial, Colo./Eaglecrest HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Eaglecrest HS in Centennial, Colo.
  • Placed fourth at the Colorado State Championships in the triple jump and qualified in the long jump.
  • Best long jump during her career was 18-10.00.
  • Was part of the 4x100 relay team which finished second at the state meet and was first in the 4x200 in 2025.
  • Competed at the Colorado State Championships all four years, including wins in the 4x100 in 2024 and the 4x200 in 2023 and 2024.
 
Men
Jamar Andrews (Los Angeles, Calif./Downey HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Downey HS in Los Angeles, Calif.
  • Placed fifth at the CIF State Championships as a senior.
  • Won the Suburban Valley Conference title in the 400 and triple jump in 2025.
  • Set his PR in the triple jump at the state meet with a best of 48-02.75.
  • Fastest 400 was 49.84 at the SVC meet.
  • Attended Jordan HS during his first three high school seasons.
  • Placed third at the CIF State Championships as a junior and was the Moore League winner.
  • As a freshman, he was the Moore League champion in the TJ.
 
Blake Gross (Modesto, Calif./Modesto JC)
  • Competed at Modesto JC for two years.
  • Was the 3C2A champion in the decathlon after totaling 6,587 points.
  • Won the individual title at the 3C2A NorCal Championships and the Northern California Combined Event Championships.
  • Was part of the 4x400 which won the NorCal title and finished fifth at the state meet.
  • As a freshman, he placed fourth at the NorCal Championships in the decathlon.
  • Bests include 10.92 in the 100 and 49.29 in the 400.
  • A 2023 graduate of Beyer HS in Modesto, Calif.
  • Finished in third place at the Western Athletic Conference Championships and sixth at the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. IV-V Finals in the 110-hurdles as a senior.
  • Was second in the 300-hurdles at both meets.
 
Brock Gross (Modesto, Calif./Modesto JC)
  • Attended Modesto JC for two years.
  • Finished in second place at the 3C2A Championships in the decathlon.
  • Scored 6,453 points at the meet.
  • Won the Big 8 title in the 110-hurdles and was second in the 400-hurdles.
  • Was part of the 4x400 which won the NorCal title and finished fifth at the state meet.
  • Placed second at the 3C2A NorCal Championships as well as the Combined Events Championships.
  • Finished in seventh place at the NorCal Championships as a freshman in the decathlon.
  • Bests included 15.07 in the 110-hurdles and 49.21 in the 400.
 
Quentin Mitchell (Sacramento, Calif./Antelope HS)
  • Graduated from Antelope HS in 2025.
  • Ended the year as the top-ranked high jumper in California and the eighth-best in the nation.
  • Finished in third place at the CIF State Championships in the high jump.
  • Cleared 7-00.00 to win the Sac-Joaquin Section Div. II Finals as a senior.
  • Was second at the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meet.
  • Won 11 of 14 meets he competed in during 2025.
  • As a junior, he was the Capital Valley Conference and Sac-Joaquin Section Div. II champion.
  • Placed second at the SJS Masters and competed at the state championship.
  • Also won the CVC and Sac-Joaquin Section Div. II titles as a sophomore.
 
Cole Oliver (Bellevue, Wash./Newport HS)
  • A 2025 graduate of Newport HS in Bellevue, Wash.
  • Will compete in the multis for the Hornets.
  • Qualified for the Washington State Combined Events Championship as a senior.
  • Finished in sixth place in the high jump as a junior at the state meet.
  • Cleared 6-06.00 to win the 4A District 1 & 2 Championships.

Women
Galadriel Mellion (Stockton, Calif./Weston Ranch HS/Arizona State)
  • Spent two years at Arizona State.
  • Recorded career bests of 167-03 in the discus at the Mt. SAC Relays and 47-11.25 in the shot put at the Texas Relays in 2025.
  • Top indoor marks were 46-09.00 in the shot put at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic and 49-03.00 in the weight thrown at the Big XII Championships.
  • Redshirted during the 2024 season.
  • A 2023 graduate of Weston Ranch HS in Stockton, Calif.
  • Placed fifth at the California State Championships as a senior in the shot put and discus.
  • Was the Sac-Joaquin Section champion in both events that same season.
  • Career bests were 43-06.00 in the shot put and 158-09 in the discus.
