BARRY PLACES THIRD; SIX ADVANCE TO FINALS IN SECOND DAY OF BIG SKY INDOORS

POCATELLO, Idaho — The Sacramento State track and field teams combined to earn one top three finish and advanced six athletes into event finals during the second day of the Big Sky Indoor Championships on Friday at Idaho State.

Jessi Barry became the second Hornet to earn all-Big Sky honors during the meet as they finished third in the women's high jump. That performance followed Merle Weber who took second in the pentathlon on Thursday.

The Hornet women will head into Saturday in sixth place while the men are poised to get on the board four athletes in the finals as well as some high hopes in the field events.

Northern Arizona currently holds the lead in both the men's and women's standings.
