JUNIOR (2013): Appeared in five games...Went 1-for-3 (.333)...Lone hit was a pinch-hit single at Saint Mary's...Caught in five games, recording seven putouts with one error.

PRIOR TO SACRAMENTO STATE: Played two seasons for head coach Tony Bloomfield at Cosumnes River College...helped lead CRC to 2012 CCCAA state and Big 8 Conference titles...a first team all-Big 8 choice as a sophomore in 2012 when he hit .286 in 161 at-bats as a sophomore with 21 runs, 18 RBIs, two doubles and two triples...threw out 16 base stealers...a second team all-Big 8 selection following his freshman season when he hit .326 with three home runs.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball for head coach Greg Olsen at Bella Vista HS...hit. .352 in 91 at-bats with a team-high 34 runs, 16 RBIs, eight doubles, two triples and two home runs as a senior in 2010...named all-Capital Valley League as a junior and senior...guided the Broncos to a pair of league titles (2008, 2010).

PERSONAL: Parents are Ron and Tina Wheeler...major is criminal justice...hopes to become a police officer after his baseball career.
