Celeste De La Cruz, MS, ATC

Celeste De La Cruz joined the Sacramento sports medicine staff in October 2025. Currently, she works with volleyball, beach volleyball, and rowing. 

De La Cruz began her career after graduating with her bachelor's in athletic training from San Jose State in 2018 and then with a master of science from Long Beach State in 2021. At Long Beach State, she published her research “An Analysis of Confidence Levels in Athletic Training Students During the Coronavirus Pandemic” in the International Journal of Exercise Science before leaving. 

After Long Beach State, Celeste has gained experience working with high level athletes in both the collegiate and high school settings. Prior to Sacramento State, Celeste worked at Fresno State with their baseball program where she was able to help them achieve their 2025 Mountain West championships title becoming back-to-back champions for the first time in program history. 

Before Fresno State, she completed an athletic training fellowship at UC Davis working with their baseball and swim/dive programs. Afterwards, De La Cruz worked at Jesuit High School in Sacramento where she had an opportunity to travel with the varsity rugby team for an international tournament in Japan. 

De La Cruz holds multiple certifications including, Rock-tape FMT/Advanced blades, Postural Restoration Institute - Postural Respiration, Structure and Function (SFDN1) and QPR certification. 

A native of Sacramento, Celeste , enjoys her time off playing in adult leagues, reading andspending time with her friends and family.
