During her first season with the team (2018), Brandt coached Sacramento State to the best bars score in the MPSF. The team was extremely consistent throughout the year with an average of 48.563 and an RQS of 48.835. The Hornets had a high score of 48.975 which narrowly missed cracking the top 10. Caitlin Soliwoda led the team with an average of 9.761 which ranks eighth in school history.

In 2023, the team tied the fourth-highest bars score at the time in school history with a 49.150 against Air Force.

In 2024, Brandt moved to vault where she coached Sarah Lutrel to second team all-MPSF honors. The season was highlighted by a 9.900 from Emma Morgenthaler at the MSPF Championships. That vault is tied for sixth in school history.

Brandt competed for the Hornets from 2010-13 and was a three-time NCAA Regional qualifier. She made her first trip on vault in 2010 before returning on bars in 2012 and 2013. One of the top bar workers in school history, her average of 9.798 as a junior is the second highest in school history. Her unique triple-twisting flyaway dismount helped her to eight career titles on bars, including four as a senior.

She was a multi-time all-Western Athletic Conference selection on both vault and bars and also earned WAC all-academic honors during her career.

Brandt began her coaching career while still competing in college, leading young children at the recreational level. She moved to Elevate Gymnastics in Elk Grove in 2011 and stayed with the club through 2016. Since then, Brandt was the director of My Gym Children's Fitness Center in Folsom. She also served as a student assistant coach with Sacramento State in 2014.
