Sacramento State

Emma Bennett joined the Sacramento State sports medicine staff in December of 2025 as an assistant athletic trainer. She currently works with the women’s gymnastics program and assists with women’s rowing.

Bennett earned her bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and her master’s degree in athletic training from Washington State. Prior to joining Sacramento State, she provided medical care and coverage for Georgia’s women’s soccer program.

Her professional certifications include mental health first aid, blood flow restriction therapy, HawkGrips IASTM, functional movement screening, and myofascial decompression. During her clinical education, she worked with a diverse range of sports across multiple institutions, highlighted by a year of full-time travel and medical coverage with Washington State’s football program.

Outside of athletics, Emma enjoys spending time with loved ones, staying active outdoors, and exploring new restaurants.
