AZUSA, Calif. — The Sacramento State track & field team has a history of record-breaking distance performances at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Wednesday proved to be no different. The Hornets saw all three of their student-athletes set school top 10 marks, including a school record, during the first day of the meet.

The morning began with
Marina Lipary and
Anna Harmon running the 10K. Lipary posted the third-fastest time in school history, running 35:31.19 The time was the fastest by a Hornet since 2012.
Anna Harmon competed in the 10K for the first time with the Hornets and produced the fourth-fastest time at Sacramento State at 35:42.16.

The evening ended with
Tia Oliver setting the school record in the steeplechase. Oliver has previously run 10:29.92 to start the outdoor season at the Hornet Invitational and ranked second in school history. The senior completed her move up the record board with a mark of 10:24.82 on Wednesday night to vault past Kristina Holtz's time of 10:27.53 which had stood as school record since 2008.
The Hornets will continue a busy weekend with action continuing at the Bryan Clay Invitational and beginning at the Pacific Coast Invitational.Â
