SACRAMENTO, Calif. — For the first time in school history, the Sacramento State cross country team will compete at the Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational on Saturday evening. The meet will be hosted by Stanislaus State and take place at the River Oaks GC in Ceres, Calif. The men's 8K race will begin at 8:30 p.m. and the women's 6K will start at 9 p.m.

The Hornets last competed at the USF Invitational on Aug. 29. The team was guided by
Tia Oliver and
Ryan Martin who each set personal bests on the course. Oliver was one of three Sacramento State women who finished in the top 20 as her 11
th-place showing was followed by
Marina Lipary (13
th) and
Sophia Dudley (19
th).

The team will see a lot of the same competition at the Kim Duyst Twilight as it did in the opening meet. Five of the top six men's team and seven of the top eight women's team from the USF Invitational will also be competing this weekend.
